Gov. Agbu Kefas honor fellen heroes donated ₦50 million for Armed Forces Remembrance day

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has donated ₦50 million to support the launch of the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem.

The donation was announced during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration held at the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of fallen heroes and their families.

He highlighted plans to enhance welfare packages and healthcare support for retired soldiers, emphasizing the importance of honoring their sacrifices and resilience.

Governor Kefas stressed that the remembrance day serves not only as a reflection on past sacrifices but also as a call to action for the future.

He assured that his administration is collaborating closely with security agencies to address threats, promote peace, and create an environment conducive to the prosperity of all citizens.

The event featured various activities, including prayers, the provision of free medical treatments by the Ex-Army Pikin Association, the laying of wreaths, and the release of doves, symbolizing peace.

These activities underscored the state’s dedication to honoring its national heroes.
