Troops Crack Down on Notorious Bandit Camp in Karim Lamido, Kill Scores, Arrest 23

Karim Lamido, Taraba State – In a major security operation, troops have raided a notorious bandit camp in Amar Village, Karim Lamido Local Government Area (LGA), killing several bandits and arresting 23 suspects.

According to an investigation by the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, the bandits, originally from Plateau State, allegedly paid ₦1.5 million to the district chief of Amar Village to secure a base for their operations.

Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Captain Oni, confirmed the military offensive, stating that the troops successfully overran the camp and neutralized multiple armed criminals.

Authorities have launched further investigations into the district chief’s alleged involvement, with security forces intensifying efforts to dismantle criminal networks operating in the region.

This operation marks a significant step in the fight against banditry and insecurity in Taraba State, as security agencies continue to crack down on criminal hideouts across the country.
