The Gombe State Police Command has imposed a restriction on movement between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM, effective from Friday, February 7, 2025. The decision follows intelligence reports indicating rising threats to public safety in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Buhari Abdullahi, announced the restriction on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, urging citizens to comply with the order in the interest of their safety. In a statement issued to the press, the police emphasized the importance of maintaining security and called on the public to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure a peaceful environment.

The Command further advised parents and guardians to monitor their children and wards, as violators of the curfew will face legal consequences.

For emergencies, the public has been directed to contact the police control room at the following numbers: 08150567771 or 09036435359.

The Gombe State Police Command reiterated its commitment to the safety and security of the citizens and called on everyone to remain vigilant during this period of heightened security.
