Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for a closed-door meeting. Atiku, who ran in the 2023 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is rumored to be considering another bid in 2027, arrived at the OOPL at approximately 12:36 p.m.

The meeting took place in the penthouse section, where Obasanjo personally received Atiku.
Atiku was accompanied by several key political figures, including former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, former Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, former Bauchi Senator Abdul Ningi, and close Obasanjo ally Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, among others.

As of press time, the purpose of the meeting had not been disclosed, fueling speculation about potential political discussions, including the possibility of Atiku’s plans for the 2027 presidential election.
