Veteran journalist and retired Director of News, Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo, has commended the Wakilin Higgi Kamwe of Taraba State, Jacob Tizhe Bulama, for his efforts in uniting the Michika people residing in the state.
In an interview with our correspondent in Jalingo, Moyoyo highlighted that since Bulama’s appointment as Wakilin Higgi Kamwe by the Galadiman Muri and the District Head of Jalingo, Alhaji Lamido Tukur Abba Tukur, in 2023, he has successfully brought together the Michika-speaking community, fostering peace and cooperation.
Moyoyo noted that the recent appointment and turbaning of several prominent Michika figures as advisors to the Wakilin Higgi Kamwe is a significant step towards strengthening community bonds.
He congratulated the seven newly appointed individuals and encouraged them to fulfill their responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of traditional institutions in maintaining unity and respect among local communities.
The Dallatun Bantaje also called on other ethnic groups in the state to emulate the Michika people’s example, urging them to work collectively towards the development of Taraba State.
Moyoyo further congratulated Daniel Zira Dan Michika, the former chairman of TSBS Listener’s Club, who was appointed as the Wazirin Michika, and urged him to uphold the trust placed in him by the community.
In addition, the veteran journalist commended Governor Agbu Kefas for creating an environment conducive to the growth of traditional institutions and called on the governor to continue supporting them in the future.
This recognition highlights the ongoing efforts to promote unity, progress, and peace in Taraba State under the leadership of figures like Jacob Tizhe Bulama.
