The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Security (DSS) have held a key meeting aimed at strengthening their collaboration on security issues in Gombe State.

During the meeting, the NSCDC Gombe State Commandant, Gyama Gyawiya, assured his DSS counterpart, Haruna N. Koko, of the Corps’ commitment to sharing vital intelligence to prevent security threats and maintain peace in the state.

In response, Koko emphasized the importance of collaboration between the agencies, pledging support for the NSCDC’s capacity-building initiatives. He highlighted that no single agency can achieve security goals alone, stressing the need for joint efforts to tackle challenges effectively.

According to Buhari Saad, Public Relations Officer for the NSCDC in Gombe, the strategic meeting, held at the NSCDC Command’s Headquarters, aims to bolster the partnership between the two agencies, focusing on intelligence sharing, cooperation, and enhanced security operations.

“This partnership is a significant step toward ensuring a safer and more secure environment for the people of Gombe State,” Saad stated.

The collaboration between the NSCDC and DSS is seen as a crucial move in strengthening the state’s security framework.
