On March 3, 2025, Chief (Dr.) David Sabo Kente, a prominent Nigerian businessman, politician, and philanthropist, will mark his 60th birthday, also known as his Diamond Jubilee, in his hometown of Wukari, Taraba State. The milestone event promises to be a significant celebration of his accomplishments and contributions to both his community and the nation.

Born on March 3, 1965, Chief Kente, widely known as DSK, has led a distinguished career as the founder and CEO of DSK Group International Ltd. and the DSK Foundation. His work has earned him recognition as a major force in business and politics, particularly within the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he is known for his leadership and vision for positive change.

Kente’s impact extends beyond his business ventures. Through the DSK Foundation, he has provided scholarships to hundreds of students, supported orphanages, and worked to improve the lives of the less privileged. His charitable efforts have earned him numerous accolades, including the “Ambassador of Peace and Societal Development” and “Icon of Humanitarian Services” awards from the Taraba State Students Union.

In recognition of his contributions to society, Kente was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Kwararafa University Wukari, where his achievements were celebrated during the university’s second and combined convocation ceremony.

As a former candidate for governor of Taraba State in the 2015 election, and a passionate advocate for his state’s development, Chief Kente continues to be a key figure in Nigerian politics. He previously served as Director of Finance for the National Assembly and chaired the Board of Trustees for the North-East Development Commission’s Education Endowment Fund.

On the occasion of his 60th birthday, Kente, along with his wife Esther and their six children, will host a grand celebration in Wukari. Over 5,000 guests from across the country and beyond are expected to attend the three-day event, which will be held from March 1 to 3. Visitors will travel from various routes—including Ibi, Takum, Zaki-Biam, Kente, and Jalingo—to honor the legendary businessman and politician.

The event’s Central Planning Committee, chaired by Hon. Shuaibu Ataka, has confirmed that all arrangements are in place for a memorable celebration.

As Chief (Dr.) David Sabo Kente reaches this remarkable milestone, he reflects on his blessings and expresses gratitude to God for His guidance and support throughout his journey. He remains dedicated to his mission of serving humanity and continuing to contribute to the betterment of society.

Happy 60th Birthday, Chief (Dr.) David Sabo Kente!
