The Bauchi State Police Command has conducted a 3-day capacity-building training for 60 officers to enhance professionalism, efficiency, and accountability in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
The training program, held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Bauchi, was a collaborative effort with Fimihan Adeoye Security Consult.
It focused on crucial topics including the analysis of statutory police duties, the appropriate use of force and firearms, fostering inter-agency collaboration, and the implementation of effective police patrols to improve crime prevention and detection.
AIG Fimihan Adeoye, CEO of Fimihan Adeoye Security Consult, commended the officers for their enthusiasm and active participation throughout the program.
He encouraged the officers to apply the skills they gained in their daily duties to enhance their professional roles.
Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammed, expressed gratitude to the consulting firm for facilitating the training and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to continuing such capacity-building initiatives.
He also announced plans to extend similar training programs across various ranks within the force to further strengthen the capabilities of the police personnel in Bauchi State.
The initiative underscores the Bauchi State Police Command’s dedication to expanding the role of the force beyond traditional law enforcement, promoting innovative approaches to policing in the region.
