Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, announced on Sunday that his administration intends to establish a new general hospital in Wukari, which will be named in honor of Chief David Sabo Kente.

The Governor made the landmark announcement during a Thanksgiving Service held to celebrate Chief Kente’s 60th birthday at the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria, CRCN, Kinkiso in Wukari, Taraba State.
Governor Kefas praised Chief Kente for his extensive philanthropic efforts, which have positively impacted countless lives across the state.

In his speech, the Governor urged Kente to assist the state government by providing a suitable parcel of land for the proposed hospital.
Kefas emphasized the importance of Kente’s continued mentorship of younger generations, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and follow his example of service.

“Chief Kente has exemplified what it means to live a life of purpose, and this hospital will not only serve as a tribute to his generosity but also as a lasting legacy of his contributions to the well-being of our people,” Governor Kefas said.
His Majesty Chief Sopiya Ahmadu, the Chief of Takum, also commended Chief Kente for his philanthropic work, extending his heartfelt wishes for continued success and prosperity in his social endeavors. Ahmadu underscored the significant role Kente has played in uplifting humanity.

In a moving address, Chief Kente expressed deep gratitude to God for sustaining him and allowing him to reach the milestone of 60 years.
He also thanked the Governor and the dignitaries who attended the event, acknowledging their support.
Kente reiterated his commitment to humanitarian service, pledging to continue working toward making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The event marked a moment of reflection and celebration, with Kente reaffirming his lifelong dedication to serving humanity and inspiring others to follow a path of compassion and impact.
