The Chairman of the Taraba State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council, Alhaji Aminu Hassan Jauro, has assured that local government chairmen in the state are committed to implementing projects aimed at benefiting the communities.

Alhaji Jauro made the remarks following a meeting between local government chairmen and Governor Agbu Kefas at the Executive Chamber of the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo.

The meeting, which included the chairmen of the councils and leaders of the Legislative Councils, was convened to discuss strategies for improving governance and administration within the local governments.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, Alhaji Jauro revealed that Governor Kefas had instructed the chairmen to prioritize key projects, including the construction of markets and provision of essential social amenities in their respective local government areas.

“As leaders closest to the grassroots, we are determined to ensure that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy,” Jauro stated, reaffirming the local governments’ dedication to enhancing the well-being of their communities.
