The acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagum, has declared that he would not be forced to resign from his post.

The PDP has been battling with internal issues that arose before and after the 2023 elections.

Some party members have blamed the party chairman for contributing to the ongoing crisis.

Damagum’s survival not defeat for Atiku or victory for Wike, says Abba Moro

He said: “Let me send a message to everyone talking about Damagum this, Damagum that – I cannot be intimidated. The more you mention me, the more popular I become.”

He said that the attacks have only made him more popular to the point that he is thinking of running for president as a result of the greater awareness.

  1. D PDP acting national chairman Damagun has overstayed his welcome, he’d sold the spirit of our great on a platter of gold to G-5 governors with their leader fmr governor of Rivers state, now FCT minister, what only remains is d body of party ready to be delivered to the ruling APC,d acting national chairman of PDP should know that we d people and peaceful members are watching critically his actions and in actions he perpetually undertook to loose the 2023 general elections, Nigerian’s Will not allow him and his ilks in d party to stay beyond the stipulated date of d next national convention,d only option left for #Damagun is to honourably resign before he’s forcefully pulled out of the national headquarters in Abuja.
