Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved fresh appointments into the newly unbundled Taraba State Sports Development Commission and the Taraba State Youth Development Agency.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Timothy Gibon Kataps, said the appointments take immediate effect.
For the Sports Development Commission, the Governor named Hon. Joshua Joseph as Special Adviser on National Sports Development, while Barr. Jime Yongo was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters. Mallam Kabiru Sule was appointed Special Assistant on Community Sports.

Others appointed include Coach Bulus Husseini as Chairman, Yosie Daniel Ayuba as Member, Ramatu Samaila, Mohammed Musa, Abdulraman Musa, Zachariah Garpiya, and Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Sadiq Moyoyo.
Also included are representatives of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Ministry of Tertiary Education, the Military and Para-Military agencies, Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Justice, the Youth, Traditional Rulers, and Religious Leaders. The Executive Secretary will serve as Member/Secretary.
For the Taraba State Youth Development Agency, Gara Soyonga Nongha was appointed Chairman. Other members include Luka Nelson, Glory Nicodemus, Tata Elken Lugo, Audu Ahmadu Danmaigoro, Isa Usman Laing, and Nasiru Adamu.

The statement further announced the inclusion of representatives of key organizations such as Mohammed Sani (Council for Persons with Disabilities), Tomon Irimiya Ishaku (SACDI – NGO working in the youth sector), Pastor Bello Bolyam (SAI – anti-drug abuse campaigner), Bashir Mustapha Yusuf (National Youth Council of Nigeria), Maryam Dauda Suleiman (National Council for Women Societies), and Hussaini Umar Yusuf (Taraba State Student Union).

Other representatives will come from the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
According to the statement, the Secretary of the Agency will be a civil servant not below the rank of Director, to serve as Member/Secretary.
