Troops of Operation HADINKAI have recovered a large cache of high-calibre ammunition in the Bulumkutu Railway area of Maiduguri, Borno State, following sustained intelligence-driven operations.
Military sources said the recovery was made during a coordinated clearance operation aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics networks and denying insurgents freedom of action across the North East.

According to the sources, the recovered items included assorted high-calibre rounds and other military-grade ammunition believed to have been concealed by terrorist elements for future attacks.
The operation, they added, forms part of ongoing efforts by the Armed Forces of Nigeria to degrade the operational capabilities of insurgents, protect critical infrastructure and enhance security within Maiduguri and its environs.
Troops have since intensified surveillance and follow-up operations in the area to track fleeing suspects and prevent any attempt by terrorists to re-establish a foothold.

The military reaffirmed its commitment to proactive, intelligence-led operations to sustain the tempo of counter-terrorism efforts in the region.
