A former Minister of State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Goronyo, has declared that infrastructure development and national unity are the major focus of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Goronyo made this known while addressing North-West youths at a stakeholders’ forum, where he urged young people to support government policies and contribute actively to national development.

He said the federal government is prioritising the rehabilitation and expansion of critical infrastructure such as roads, rail lines, power supply and social services to drive economic growth and open up employment opportunities.

According to him, unity and peaceful coexistence remain essential for meaningful progress, stressing that no development can thrive in a divided society.

“President Tinubu understands that development and unity must go together. That is why efforts are being made to strengthen national cohesion while delivering key projects across the country,” he said.

Goronyo noted that the North-West region stands to gain from ongoing and planned federal interventions, particularly in agriculture, transportation and security.

He called on youths to avoid actions capable of causing division and instead focus on education, entrepreneurship and skills development.

The APC stalwart added that youth empowerment remains a priority for the ruling party, with several initiatives designed to support small businesses, innovation and job creation.

The forum brought together youth leaders and stakeholders from across the North-West zone.
