Taraba stakeholders meeting: Jalingo LG boss hails Kefas for fostering unity

Taraba stakeholders meeting – Nov. 4, 2025

The Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council and Taraba ALGON Chairman, Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for convening a bipartisan stakeholders meeting aimed at strengthening unity and political cooperation in the state.

Hassan, who also serves as ALGON’s National Welfare Director, described the meeting held in Jalingo as “historic and unprecedented,” noting that it brought together influential figures from both the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress.

Top APC figures in attendance included Senators Sani Abubakar Danladi and David Jimkuta, Barr. Muhammad Bello Mustapha, former federal lawmaker Aminu Ibrahim Malle, Engr. Ahmad Yusuf Gamaliya, Hon. Jerry Manwe and Hon. Uba Mairiga, among others.

Also present from the PDP were Governor Kefas, Special Adviser on Political Affairs Dr Josiah Sabo Kente, Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, PDP Chairman Alh. Abubakar Bawa, Senator Haruna Manu and Alh. Saleh Muhammad Salejo.

Hassan said the engagement signalled a new chapter in Taraba’s political history, adding that inclusive governance was key to sustaining peace and development in the state.

“Governor Kefas has shown exceptional leadership by bringing people across party lines together. This is the kind of political maturity Taraba needs,” he said.

He urged political leaders to sustain the momentum, saying unity and collaboration remained vital for progress.
