Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has dismissed rumours suggesting that he has endorsed individuals for executive positions in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) congresses.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Dauda Iliya, Governor Zulum described the reports as the handiwork of mischief-makers intent on creating disaffection within the party.

The Governor categorically stated that he has not supported any candidate for any party position in Gwoza Local Government Area or any of the state’s 27 local government areas.
“Let me emphasise that I have not anointed any person for the position of Chairman or Secretary of APC in Gwoza Local Government for the forthcoming party congress,” he said. “Similarly, I have not endorsed any individual for any position in any of the 27 local government areas.”
Governor Zulum urged party members to disregard the false information, describing it as a calculated attempt to derail the party’s progress. He called on APC stakeholders to continue constructive consultations to identify credible candidates for all party offices.
